Kaiser Chiefs have admitted that they are worried about the future of guitar bands as they believes that as a "viable career" new guard of the band's prospects plummeted.

Speaking to Bang Showbiz, singer Ricky Wilson said that although he admitted there always will be a guitar band, he was not sure he'll enjoy too much success.

He said: "Necessity is the mother of invention and there will always be music. Whether it will be a viable career for five guys with guitars I'm not sure at the moment but you know, they'll be there in a garage somewhere."

Bassist Simon Rix said, I believe that the demise of record companies for the new band has been very harmful - as they needed support early on in their careers.

He said:

"What you need when you're a band, what it took for us was for a record company to give us a little money to get us on tour in a van, to get people to see us, to like our band, to get us on the radio and the telly. That's what record companies do, and how bands get somewhere, but now they don't do that because they never make it back".

SEASONED festival goers on Sunday evening outside the Kaiser Chiefs experience something new and something old.

Beginning alongside Everyday I Love You Less and Less, Ricky Wilson and co ripped through a crowd-pleasing set on the Other stage.

Ricky forked out £ 400 on a waiting taxi on a Friday night performance at Hard Rock Calling festival to take the wet.

Excitable Ricky told fans: "I know it's sunny and it's muddy. You have everything.'

The crowd went mad to I Predict A Riot followed by the rousing new track Kinda Girl You Are.

Oh My God was a fitting finale.

Afterwards Ricky said he was going to party with Queens Of The Stone Age.

Kasier Chiefs drummer and songwriter Nick Hodgson has revealed that his new album, his father's battle with Alzheimer's due to be recording it.

This month the group released 'The Future Is Medieval' is surprised by the fan, while its will be released officially on June 27.

Unlike traditional release, their album set that enables fans to create their own artwork to friends and then to sell their creations.

Hodgson admitted that his father's illness had affected the album sounds dark.

He said, “Obviously, that changes things because, music just feels irrelevant and becomes sort of peripheral”.

“A year ago I wasn’t even really thinking about music much at all. I was messing about in my studio, but I wasn’t particularly focused. If your heads not there, your heads not there.

“When you do write you can’t help but write from the mindset you’re in at the time.”

Kaiser Chiefs is set to perform a secrete concert at the official F1™ Party in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.

The party will be takes place at London’s Natural History Museum on July 6 to celebrate the official launch of the 2011 FORMULA 1 SANTANDER BRITISH GRAND PRIX.

The party is held to depend on the Bernie Ecclestone permission, who is a CEO of the Formula One group.

Ecclestone said, “I am delighted to be able again to bring the F1 community together to help such a great cause. Formula One and Great Ormond Street Hospital have forged a unique and successful relationship drawing support from across the F1 community to improve the lives of children being treated at the hospital.”

Tamara is a Ecclestone's daughter, who is a director for this party and the early stages and to take care of this function has helped plan.

According to the Daily Star the band's drummer Nick Hodgson told that his upcoming fourth album, working on "being in the right direction" is.

He said, "We're busy. The writing started a long time ago, like a year and a half ago. It's just been on a nice steady pace because we've had a lot of time off.

I like the fact that guitars are beginning to creep back in and it's exciting. I like all kinds of music but when I hear something I really like it normally has loud guitars in it and I'm starting to hear more of that everywhere."

Kaiser Chiefs Andrew "Whitey" White for the world's longest scooter rally has signed up to take part in a world record attempt. The star is set to ride the length of Hull's Humber Bridge on August 14 with hundreds of other participants from the Yorkshire Scooter Alliance, which he is a member of. Kaiser Chiefs' frontman Ricky Wilson has revealed the band "needed to get bored" in order to rediscover their hunger for writing new music.

The Leeds band, who decided to take a break following their homecoming appearance at last August's Leeds Festival, are now working on a follow-up to 2008's 'Off With Their Heads'

"After a couple of months [off] we got bored," Ricky Wilson told BBC. "Then I got really bored, then mind-numbingly bored and that's when you start thinking about the fact you want to get up and do something again."

Currently recording new material in drummer Nick Hodgson's newly built studio, Wilson gave an update on proceedings.

"I haven't felt this creative since we first started," he explained. "We're playing around at the moment, I'm sending him [Hodgson] words and lyrics in the mail. He's sending me CDs in the mail."

This was the view of coach Vladi-mir Vermezovic yesterday as Ama-khosi prepared for their Telkom Knockout semifinal against Orlando Pirates on Monday at the Moses Mabhida stadium in Durban.

Vermezovic has promised fireworks, a claim hard to believe considering the two teams produced goalless draws in both their league games this season.

"The game will last for only 90 minutes and there will be no extra time or penalty kicks," said Vermezovic. "I have a feeling things will be different this time around.

"We have to control the mood as we have been doing so well in the last few big games we have played. There are no possibilities other than winning because we are healthy, psychologically strong and in good shape."

The Serb said his players had realised that some games had to be played harder, and the derby - in a cup competition - is one of those games.

"We will only leave Johannesburg for Durban on Sunday afternoon and the players will get some time off to be with their families and friends on the holiday. I trust that they will be professionals in their behaviour and keep their minds on the game," he said.

Vermezovic said he was aware of reports about the behaviour of key PSL players and their "nightlife antics", but gave his troops a vote of confidence going into the weekend.

Chiefs will be without midfield workhorse Josta Dladla because he is serving a one-match suspension. Dladla has been a live wire for the team this season and played a big part in the victory against Sundowns in the quarterfinal. Kaiser Chiefs drummer Nick Hodgson has started his own record label.Named Chewing Gum, the label's first signing are Hull band The Neat. According to Hodgson's Kaiser Chiefs bandmates Peanut and Simon Rix, the drummer is writing material for The Neat as well as producing them.As well as revealing Hodgson's new venture, Peanut told the Daily Star that Kaiser Chiefs, currently on a band break, have vague plans to start work on new material later this year.

"We're all doing our own thing for a while but will reconvene Kaiser Chiefs probably at the end of the summer," he said.Hodgson is understood to be looking for other new acts to sign to Chewing Gum, which he has set up with his girlfriend. POMPEY CALL ON FIFA OVER BHASERA

Portsmouth have asked FIFA to look into the transfer of Kaiser Chiefs defender Onismor Bhasera.
Pompey thought they had signed the 22-year-old on a free after a work permit was granted on appeal, however doubt has since surrounded the deal after Chiefs declared the player still had 12 months to run on his contract.
Portsmouth are reluctant to pay a fee for a player they thought would cost them nothing, leaving Bhasera in limbo.
The South Coast club are still keen to bring in the left-back and have confirmed FIFA are looking into the situation.
"The situation is that Onismor believes he is a free agent and Kaiser Chiefs say he isn't, so we have asked FIFA to look into it to enable us to progress with the move," a Portsmouth spokesman told the club's official website.
"We have successfully appealed a work permit and want the player to sign for Pompey but he can only do so once we know the true nature of his registration."
Bhasera's manager at Kaiser Chiefs, Bobby Motaung, believes the only reason the deal has not gone through already is because the Premier League side are struggling financially.
"Portsmouth have financial problems, I have a letter from them and they say they owe Chelsea, they owe this one, it is their problem not our problem, he told KickOff.com.
"They can't afford to pay us small change, we said it is compensation, not a transfer fee. We even said to them we will give you six months grace period to keep the player and pay us in January."
However the Pompey spokesman venomously denied that the hold-up in the transfer was because of the club's lack of funds.
"This has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with finance and to suggest such is misguided and inaccurate," he pointed out.

KAISER CHIEFS have denied rumours they are rending up and claim they are just planning a long holiday.
Frontman Ricky Wilson discharged speculation that their performances at last weekend's Reading and Leeds festivals would be their last.
Instead, Ricky says the band's diary is empty because they all want a rest.
Ricky said: "It's our last show for the foreseeable future, so it's a bit of an abyss.
"If it was our last one ever, we wouldn't be having a good time, would we?
"I don't think bands split up when they're still friends and having a best time with each other.
"We just haven't booked anything. If people look at your diary and look you haven't got anything lined up, they think you're stopping.
"We've been on tour for five years and need to pass some of our money on air travel.
"We don't want to convey out an album before Christmas, we don't want to bring out an album after Christmas. We don't want to go into the studio, there are no more gigs."

THE Kaiser Chiefs put in an A* performance at the Villa Marina last night.
Singer Ricky Wilson worked the consultation by darting across the stage as often as possible and supporting everyone to singalong. Any budding frontmen watching would certainly have learned a lot from Wilson who could command a sea of hands in the air within a split second. With a catalogue of up tempo urban anthems, the band raked through some of their best known songs with gusto. Just a handful of numbers in, Ruby had those in the circle on their feet where many stayed for much of the show. The likes of Everyday I Love You Less and Less, Modern Way and The Angry Mob enthralled the crowd while I Predict A Riot and Oh My God had the audience singing, clapping and jumping up and down in frantic exhilaration. But it was Ricky himself who had the most energy enough to make the Duracell bunny jealous. The thirstily anticipated performance was easily one of the most memorable I have ever seen at the Villa and it was just under 90 minutes of pure delectation.When the gig was announced by organiser Lenny Conroy of Triskel Promotions earlier this year, there was huge demand for tickets.And I incertitude anyone who arranged to get their hands on any went away disappointed after last night's show.

The Kaiser Chiefs performed a rip roaring set in Tel Aviv's Israel Trade Fairs and assembly Center (commonly known as Ganei Hata'arucha) last Thursday night. The band, hailing from Leeds, England, played to a crowd of applyed Israeli fans.
The show kicked off with a storming gig of "Never Miss a Beat‚" the lead single from The Kaiser Chiefs' most currently album, Off with Their Heads. It was followed by crowd favorites "Everything is Average Nowadays" and "Everyday I Love You Less and Less."
The show reached its pinnacle as lead singer Ricky Wilson climbed the stage scaffolding and arised to belt out "I Predict a Riot" which is perhaps the Chiefs' best known single about a typical night out in their hometown, complete with binge drinking, fights and underdressed girls.
Wilson told the crowd how bygone in the week he had visited the Western Wall in Jerusalem and had written a note asking for the crowd to be the best the band had ever had.
One dedicated fan made the journey from Leeds to Tel Aviv to attend the show. Joanne Grainger said, "It's excellent to see a band from my hometown play so far away and still attract so many fans. They've been exactly class tonight."
The band ended its lively performance with "The Angry Mob‚" the lyrics of the chorus worthy of a literary prize: "We are the angry mob, we read the papers every day, we like who we like, we hate who we hate, but we're also easily swayed!"
Returning to the stage for an encore, Wilson caped up the show in fine style with a wild description of the band's 2004 entry single "Oh My God."

Green Day marked the departure of the Kaiser Chiefs from their on going US tour by playing a course of pranks on the British rockers including hiring a brass band to attack the stage during their set.
The 'American Idiot' hitmakers are the moment midway through a massive global hike and they were joined by the Kaiser Chiefs, who opened for them at a string of dates on the other side the US.
The bands played their last performance together on Saturday in New Orleans, Louisiana but the rock trio didn't let their stagemates escape their habit of playing jokes on their support acts.
Kaiser Chiefs drummer Nick Hodgson explains: "Every time when they have support bands, the final night they description of prank the band. We got off actually lightly I think. If you look at YouTube, there's some support bands that have had bad things happen to them, but (Green Day) arranged a Louisiana/New Orleans old time brass band and they got them into the arena.
"When we started (hit track) I Predict a Riot, this band came on and then Green Day came on, and they were playing cowbells. It was a surpriced. I just amazement whether the people of New Orleans think that's our regular type of performance."
And Hodgson accept that wasn't the only performances they were subjected to - their rock pals also covered all their instruments in toilet roll.
He adds, "Toilet Paper. They T.P.'d (toilet paper-ed) us. (They covered our) drums, instruments. It was live on stage."

Kaiser Chiefs' breaks rib supporting Green Day

Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson broke a rib while performing in the US yesterday (July 28).The injury came as the band played ahead of Green Day at New York's Madison Square Garden

A statement from the band explained that "Kaiser Chief" Ricky Wilson has felled down in the jumping between the barrier and the stage,breaking a rib in the process whilst the band had been playing".

However despite Wilson's injury he seriously injuried but he did not need the cancel any dates because he did not lose heart.

The statement added: after this accident he take a rest as they criss-cross America – Ricky's had treatment and decided the tour goes on. kaiser chief end this run of dates with a Main Stage slot at Lollapalooza on August 9.

The discography of Kaiser Chiefs, a British indie rock band, contains three studio albums, one extended play, thirteen singles, and one video album. Kaiser Chiefs were formed in 1997 in Leeds, England by classmates Nick Hodgson (drums), Nick Baines (keyboards) and Simon Rix (bass). The trio were later joined by Andrew White (guitar) and Ricky Wilson (vocals).

The band's debut album Employment was launched in March 2005. prejudiced by the New Wave and punk rock of the late 1970s, the record took pleasure in success in the United Kingdom with sales of over 1.3 million. The album arrived at number two on the UK albums chart and certified five times platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI). It shaped four singles, and was short-list for the Mercury Prize in 2005 and nominated for "Best British Album" at the 2006 BRIT Awards. Also in 2005, the band released Enjoyment, a video album consists of music videos, live performances and interviews.

The band's second album, Yours Truly, Angry Mob, was launched in February 2007. It arrived at number one and was certified platinum in the UK, and peaked at number forty-five in the Billboard 200 albums chart in the United States. Yours Truly, Angry Mob shaped four singles, two of which arrived at the top twenty on the UK singles chart. In April 2008, the album's lead single, "Ruby", was nominated for an Ivor Novello Award for "Most Performed Title of 2007–2008". Kaiser Chiefs released their third album, Off with Their Heads, in October 2008. It arrived at number two in the UK and formed two singles.

A Leeds Formed Kaiser Chiefs are an alternative rock band in early 2003. The group composed of Ricky Wilson (vocals), Andrew White (guitar), Simon Rix (bass), Nick “Peanut” Baines (keyboards) and Nick Hodgson (drums). The group has launched three albums as of 2005 and have launched 11 singles, as well as the hits “I Predict a Riot”, “Oh My God”, “Ruby” and “Never Miss a Beat”.

The band’s main musical power include The Beatles, The Beach Boys, The Kinks, Blur, The Clash, Eric Burdon, The Jam, and other new wave bands. The motivation for their unusual name came from soccer player Lucas Radebe, who before joining Leeds United played for the leading South African team Kaizer Chiefs. Andrew White (b. England; guitar), Ricky Wilson (b. Charles Richard Wilson, 17 January 1975, Keighley, West Yorkshire, England; vocals), Nick Baines (keyboards), Nick Hodgson (b. Nicholas Hodgson, 20 October 1977, England; drums) and Simon Rix (b. James Simon Rix, 18 October 1977, England; bass) formed the band in early 2003, having originally played garage rock under the Parva moniker. Their lively brand of post-millennial guitar rock, which would have been labelled “indie” in previous decades, rapidly found favour on the local show circuit.
