For charity download, The Cribs Cover Kaiser


Yorkshire lads The Cribs are set to aid charity with the release of a new cover Kaiser Chiefs .
Although they both hail from Yorkshire, there is little in common between Kaiser Chiefs and The Cribs. Sure, the Leeds pair may have begun life on a tiny indie but they quickly swapped that for novelty singalong hits.
The Cribs, meanwhile, have clung on to their integrity. Slowly building a devoted fan base with a series of celebrated releases and lengthy tours, the band were recently given the chance of working with one of their heroes.
Johnny Marr's work with The Smiths wants no introduction, and the Manchester musician's guitar playing adorns The Cribs new album. 'Ignore The Ignorant' is another giant leap for ward for the group, smashing its way into the Top Ten.
UK tour Spawning a lengthy our, The Cribs are now set to surprise fans with a particular cover. The Wakefield group are set to honour a worthy local cause by donating all proceeds from the new download to charity.
The band have chosen to cover Kaiser Chiefs Modern Way'. Originally released in 2005 the song was previously only available as a B-side, appearing on the flip of The Cribs single 'Mirror Kissers'.
All proceeds from the track will go to aid Cash For Kids Action On Neglect Appeal, which aims to help neglected children in the Leeds and West Yorkshire area.
The Cribs are also set to release a new single, with 'We Share The Same Skies' due for release on November 9th.
